B/S structure enhances some abilities such as system deployment, system upgrade and trouble shooting. At the same time, it reduces the abilities of code reuse and system extension. To solve the problem, people design the developing framework with good layer difference. Struts is one of the classical frameworks to implement MVC design model under J2EE platform, it could help developer to abstract the code, divide the project to three layers, and implement the model, view, control components of MVC. Base on the research of J2EE platform and MVC design model, and combine with the core technology of Web application development, this thsis analyzes the core components of Struts Framework, shows the process of Struts implement MVC design model and how to use Struts to develop Web application in a real project. On this foundation, analyze, design and implement an actual Web application of INTERTEK group, supply an example to explain how to use Struts to implement the function of order creation. Then we analyze the disadvantages of Struts framework and some problems met in development process, give some improvement ideas of Struts design and practise it in project, then point the advantages and disadvantages of this project, and give the improvement plan of the next phase.
