Abstract AAbbssttrraacctt Thearmyprimaryschool played animportant roleon training military personnel in , thelateQing Dynasty.Theestablishment of theschools wasn t only animportant part of military education reform, but also a symbol that the military educational system of our country had formally entered the modernization. Combining official archives, many memoirs with the original press material such as Oriential Magazine, Shenbao etc, the thesis, the army schools before and after 1905 for the study, concerned about the background of the establishment of small schools, as well as the source of school teachers and students and the management style, reveals the contradiction between the ideal of setting up schools and the actual results, analyzes the causes to deepen the understanding of the New Deal and the military educational reform in the late Qing Dynastyand provides thehistorical referencefor modernization of militaryeducation . In the introduction, the author recalls the situation of the topic including the achievements andinsufficiency, proposes thesignificanceof thearticleonthebaseof the research , defines thetimeandtherangeinvolved inthesubject. Except theinstruction, thebodyof thethesis isdivided into four chapters: Chapter I is the establishment origin and overview of the Army primary school. From the alternation of the old and new military education system and the introduction of primaryeducational idea, this part expounds thebackground and describes theprofile of establishment Chapter II is thesystem of hiring teachers and students. This chapter focuses onthe way of employing teachers and the admission system, as well as the loopholes of the process . Chapter III is the teaching management and actual effects.
