ABSTRACT  Teacher Leadership is the powerful catalyst of the Educational reform;Teacher Leadership adds the new dynamic force for the development of the school. Thus it becomes an important world issue in school reform, which is a trend in the United States and Europe。Moreover, the United States leads the way in this trend. Either from theoretical or practical level, the United States has a full study of teacher leadership. Therefore, this paper is intended to in-depth study several aspects of the theoretical framework of teacher leadership in the United States from the definition, roles, tasks, skills, factors and training methods of the teacher leadership, which provide a reference for the Chinese theoretical research system development and improvement of teacher leadership; Under the full understanding of the theory of teacher leadership, this paper reviews the production and development background of the American teacher leadership, to explore the current situation and development trend of the American teacher leadership. And then, this paper further represents the American teacher leadership practical situation from the positives and limitations of the behavioral characteristics of different types of teacher leadership and related case studies, in order to provide useful lessons and reference for our teacher leadership development and training.
