It is a normal and interesting phenomenon in nature. However, because of the complex microscopic interaction between the mixture components, the simulation of the multi-component fluid is still a very challenging mission, and few relative works has been done at present in the graphics literature. In this paper, we introduce a Lattice Boltzmann Model LBM to simulate binary mixtures. Different from other similar models, the viscid and diffusing properties of the fluid are considered separately, and this makes it so easy to simulate the miscible or immiscible two fluids system within one framework. In addition, the operation of LBM is mostly linear local computation, which can be easily speeded up on Graphics Process Unit GPU in order to make real-time simulation.
