A b stract: B ased on b itter ta ste recep tor T2R2 gene sequence of dom e sticated dog (AB249685) , one p air of p rim ers were
designed and u sed to amp lify an app roxim ately 11 kb DNA fragm en t from genom ic DNA samp le of gian t p anda by u sing
α
PCR. The PCR p roducts were ligated into the pMD 18T vector, and then tran sform ed in to comp etent cells of E coli DH5 .
The identified po sitive clone wa s sequenced. The re su lt showed that the T2R2 gene of giant p anda wa s 1 008 bp in length,
and contained comp lete exon, and 9 15 bp , encoding 304 am ino acid residue s. The p I of the p rotein is 956 and its
