Abstract : Image fusion is an advanced image processing technology. It can integrate several images of the
same scene captured by several different sensorswith different features and resolutions at different timeinto one
image. In this paper, the trends of designing real- time image processing system are discussed, the current
status of image fusion system is reviewed, and the prevalent method for designing an image fusion system is
pointed out.
