The Fourth Period: Section B (2a-2e) Teaching aims(教学目标) 1.学会谈论当重大事件发生的时候正在进行的动作,也就是过去进行时的运用 2. 能够熟练的掌握并运用本节课出现的有用词组 3 能简单复述文章 Language points(语言点) 要求掌握以下句式: Do you remember what you were doing? 2.要求掌握以下词汇: (1)动词:remember, hear, die, hit (2)名词:passage, pupil, silence, terrorist, date, tower (3)副词:completely, recently (4) 形容词:shocked, scared (5) 词组:in history, on the radio, the rest of …, in silence, take down, at first, so … that …, World Trade Center (本节课的生词较难,需要老师讲解时注意例句的配合,而且尽量能让学生自己掌握运用) Difficulties(难点):文章的复述(正确使用过去进行时) Teaching steps(教学 1. Lead-in(导入:读前) 给出课本中出现的两张图片,直接导入。 给出第一张图片 T:Do you know this man? S1: No. S2: Yes. Martin Luther King. T: Yes, very good. Let’s read a short introduction about him. 给出马丁. 路德 . 金的简单介绍. B. 给出第二张图片 T:Do you know this famous building? S1: No. T: It’s WTC, World Trade Center. C. 给出第三张图片 T: Can you guess what happened? S1: The building is on fire. T: That’s right. Reading Strategy: Skimming(略读) (1) Reading the Title and the First Sentences (Work on 2a) T: One of the reading skills is to read the title of the passage – this helps you understand the text. It is also a good idea to read the first sentence of each paragraph before you read the whole text.
