The empirical analysis includes many aspects such as service industry on economic growth elasticity, employment elasticity, and the energy consumption of the service industrials. The results show that: Tianjin development of service industry transition has a strong impact on economic development The pulling ability of the service industry especially the modern service industry on the growth of economic and the labor employment are very obvious. And there is a very big space for development in the modern services industry. The energy consumption of tertiary industry are lower than the energy consumption of secondary industry. We need to promote the tertiary industry especially the development of modern service industry for the further transformation of development of economy in Tianjin.
