E. in China LIU Haiyuan ( Sect. of heoretical Studies, Capital Inst. of P.E. , Beijing 100088, China) Abstract: On the basis of analyzing the backgrounds of the Chinese school P. E. And the demands of the central government File No.7, the author points out that the development trends of the Chinese school P. E. displays that the reform of the sports and health courses will be furthered so as to improve the teaching qual ity. he students will be required to have one hour physical training each day. he Sunny Sports program will be developed and the National Student Fitness Standard will be executed comprehensively. he teacherstraining will be strengthened. here will be more investment in the school sports and the construction of the sports facilities. he security mechanism of school sports will be set up. he sports test ing system will be carried out and the school sports supervision system will be reinforced. he society should be more concerned about the school sports.
