An Economic Model of Urban Sustainable Development

Abstract: Based on conventional model of urban economy development, this paper modified the genuine
saving indicator proposed by World Bank and used it to the study of urban economy development by taking into
accounts different determinants such as population (the growth rate of population) , economy (the growth rate
of GDP) , social factors such as current education expenditures and the retained fee of academic research,
environmental factors such as air and water pollutions and resource misuses. It put forward an economic model
of urban sustainable development for Xian.
