Applicable scope of sports arbitration

Abstract: The scope of sports arbitration in China should be broadened, while competitive sports activities should
be apprehended from a broader perspective. International practices should be respected for the legislation of the
scope of sports arbitration in China. We should not only restrict the scope within the area of competitive sports ac-
tivities and process arbitrable sports disputes according to the stipulations of the Sports Law, but also respect the
will of the parties concerned; the sports arbitration institution should process sports factor related business disputes
submitted willingly by the parties concerned to the sports arbitration institution.
