Abstract With the guidance of human beings’ practical activities and values of scientific development, the purpose of constructing the values of ecological civilization is to promote harmony development between man and nature, and solve shortcomings and defects which under the traditional values of industrial civilization in dealing with issues of ecological environment, and we can make a better development in the area of ecological civilization. At the same time, it has profound philosophical and ethical foundation to construct the values. The paper bases on academic achievements in the ecological field of Marxist theory and using the Marxist theoretical methods, to explore the basic values on the issues which under the values of ecological civilization in Marxist theories, and to make up the value of normative standards about the measures of production, technology development and the ideas of consumption in the aspect of ecological civilization. Finally, it will become true that man’s values transforms to the direction of eco-rational. First of all, this paper analyzes the basic connotation of constructing the values of ecological civilization, find out the practical and theoretical basis of constructing ecological civilization. By analyzing the connotation of ecological values, criticizing traditional values of industrial civilization and exposing the shortcomings and harm, we get the definition on the values of ecological civilization. Second, we re-posite the relationship between man and nature and promote the values of human beings’ to transform to ecological direction which under the basis of dialectic between subject and object.
