The Clinical Study in Therapies of Obesity-PCOS by Chinese Herbs Combined with Different Frequency of Electroacupuncture Speciality: Acupuncture Moxibustion and Massage Author: Wan Pengfei Tutor: Pro. Ma Qijiang Abstract Objective: To prove into the clinical effects and mechanism of the therapy by different frequency of electroacupuncture with Chinese herbs in Obesity-PCOS. Methods: It will be studied from combination therapies of different frequency of electroacupuncture with Chinese herbs and simplex Chinese herbs. 60 patients will be divided into 3 groups, Group1, Group2 and Control Group, each 20 patients. Give Chinese herbs combined with low-freq EA treatment to Group1, Chinese herbs combined with high-freq EA to Group2, and simplex Chinese herbs to Control Group. Then observe the improvement of signs and symptoms, the changes of sex hormone, basal body temperature, BMI, WHR and HOMA-IR. Results: we obtain the result that both cure rate and total effective rate of treatment group1 and group2 are higher than those in the control group, and the difference have statistical significance(P0 ．05). It is higher in treatment group1 and group2 than in control group to improve the signs and symptoms and reduce the level of serum LH, LH/FSH, T, BMI as well as HOMA-IR. The difference have statistical significance(P0．05). Conclusion The treatment of Chinese herbs combined with acupuncture can improve the signs and symptoms effectively, and adjust patients’ hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis to recover their normal levels of the hormone.
