Abs tract: It is generally considered that the seism ic response of the beam string structure is not the control factor of
structure design becausc of its light dead weigh1But the w ind-induced dynam ic response of the structure is signif-i
cant, so more attention must be paid to it. First the w ind smi u lation of the structure by AR model is carried out.
Then the TRANS method in the ANSYS is used to calculate the dynam ic responses in tmi e dom ain and to compare
the resultsw ith those in frequcncy dom ain in order to verify the validity of the tw om ethods. Some conclusions are
draw n, wh ich are useful for directing the design of the beam string structure.
