On the one hand , he inherited and summed up the achievements of their predecessors. By analyzing and summarizing Cardano’s, Ferrari’s and Cha Eun House’s mathematical methods in solving cubic and quartic equations , he came up with the replacement thinking, and used the replacement thinking to solve the cubic equations. In order to solve equations of more than five times, he made a deep research on the nature of replacement connotation. On the other hand, Lagrange also use the curve to study the solution of algebraic polynomial equations, and then proceeded to the exploration of a series of procedures. This paper introduces Lagrange’s experience on exploring the methods of algebraic solution, as well as the deep study on the replacement thought, and algebraic equations.
