Abstract
In accordance with the nadonal standard of the subject,English
for Senior middle school,this paper attempts to explore the application
of the Task-based pedagogy in the teaching of reacling and writing in
senior middle sch001.
The first part,the theoretical basis of Task-based pedagogy and
significance of the subject,introduces its essentials and the3redcal
foundation,and also draws an outline of its development and formation.
The second and the third parts focus respectively on the
exploration of the practical use of the model in the teaching process of
areacting and writing by designing tasks successively pre一,in—and post
teaching activities.
The last part institutes a comparison between the tWO counterparts,
Task—based and traditional approaches in China,and consequently comes
to the point,as the conclusion argues,that such an advanced theory
should be in line with the characteristics of English teaching in China.

第一节任务型教学模式的理论基础
任务型教学模式就是以具体的任务为学习动力或动机,以完成任务的过程为学
习过程,以展示任务成果的方式(非测验的分数)来体现教学的成就。关于“任务”
的定义,说法不尽一致,Nunan在他的专著DeJigningTasksforCommunicativeClassroom中
就列举了多家的定义,如:
A task is 3 piece of work undertaken for oneself or for others,freely or for some
reward.Thus,examples of tasks include painting a fence,dressing a chic filling out a form,
buying a pair of shoes,making an airline reservation,borrowing a library book,taking a
driving test,typing a little,weighing a patient,sorting letters,taking a hotel reservation,
writing 3 cheque,finding 3 street destination and helping someone across a road In other
words,by“task’’is meant the hundred and one things people do in everyday life,at work,at
play,and in between.(Long 1985:89)
An activity or action which is carried OUt as the result of processing or understanding
language(i,e.as a response).For example,drawing a map while listening a tape,listening to aFl
instruction and performing a command,may be referred to as tasks.Task may or may not
involve the production of language A
