Research on the Approaches of Professional Women’S Social Work in Women’S Federation：——A Case Study of Guangzhou Women’S Federation Major：Public Management+ Name：Yu Meiqun Supervisor：Fan Ruolan ABSTRACT In China，the Women’S Federation is a public organization which is aimed to protect the rights of women，promote gender equality and create favorable social conditions and social environment for the former two purposes．Meanwhile，it also undertakes government responsibilities to manage the affairs concerning women and children．The Women’S Federation enjoys the advantages of broad network coverage，a complete organizational structure，a long history,the trust of women and the public as well as other advantages．However，there axe also some disadvantages and one of them is that its working approaches can not keep up with the social development．After the reform and opening up，the environment faced by women and the changes of their roles and status result in diversification and complex of women’S issues，which call for the specific approaches to address the professional women’S social work．In this way,it becomes necessity to introduce these specific approaches to the Women’S Federation which is supposed to protect women’S rights and interests．Currently,there are only a few studies on how to carry out professional women’S social work and how to introduce approaches of professional women’S social work into the Women’S Federations．Therefore，in order to promote the work of the Women’S Federation in new era and enhance the overall development of women，it is significant to include the approaches of professional women’S social work into the work methods of the Women’S Federation． 11 In this paperit makes researches on the current women’S issues in Guangzhou，working methods of the Guangzhou Women’S Federation in solving these problems and the disadvantages of these methods．As a result，it points out that specific approaches of professional women’S social work are more effective in addres
