Stressful situations can cause you emotional and physical harm, but it really doesn’t have to (coping).  We are going to help you identify some of your stressors and find ways to deal with it, or even prevent it. Good – stress that makes us perform better, heightens our senses, and makes us better or stronger as a result (CONTROL).  Bad – stress that is long term or chronic, makes us sick, decreases our happiness, and become overwhelming (NO CONTROL).  Stress Pile Up – is an accumulation of stress without resolution.  Adaptation – is the output of stress management (coping techniques are used). Adrenaline in our body is released to be ready for fight (stay and defend) or flight (run). Alarm Stage
