读写微技能导练 首尾定位法巧解排序题 排序题通常出现在说明文、记叙文或人物传记类的文章或段落的理解题中。要求根据某人所经历事情的时间先后排序，或按某事物的发展变化过程排序，或按操作程序或制作过程先后排序，或按重要性排序等。 这类题属于事实细节题，只需浅层理解，难度较小，一般从阅读材料中可以直接找到答案，但是这种题容易错，比较耗时间。题中含有原文单词、词组、句型的转述，再以a，b，c，d，e，f等给事件标上序号。 解答这类题的具体过程如下： 第一步，在a-f中画出关键词或特征词。 第二步，寻读，在文中找到a-f的对应信息，并在文中标上a-f。这样可使顺序一目了然，也减少阅读量。 注意年代数词和表示时间先后关系的词，如then, after, shortly after, afterwards, after that, before that, in the same year, later, and, next, at last, finally, so等。 第三步，弄清“首事件”和“尾事件”，利用“排除法”，迅速缩小范围，快速选出正确答案。这也就是所谓的“首尾定位法”。 即学即用 阅读下列短文，从每题所给的A，B，C和D项中，选出最佳选项。 F. Scott Fitzgerald, born on September 24, 1896, an American novelist, was once a student of St. Paul Academy, the Newman School and attended Princeton University for a short while. In 1917 he joined the army and was posted in Alabama, where he met his future wife Zelda Sayre. Then he had to make some money to impress her. His life with her was full of great happiness, as he wrote in his diary:“My own happiness in the past often approached such joy that I could not share it even with the person dearest to me but had to walk it away in quiet streets and take down parts of it in my diary.” This Side of Paradise, his first novel, was published in 1920. Encouraged by its success, Fitzgerald began to devote more time to his writing. Then he continued with the novel the Beautiful and Damned (1922) , a collection of short stories Tales of the Jazz Age (1922), and a play The Vegetable (1923). But his greatest success was The Great Gatsby, published in 1925, which quickly brought him praise from the literary world. Yet it failed to give him the needed financial security. Then, in 1926, he published another collection of short stories All the Sad Young Men. However, Fitzgerald’s problems with his wife Zelda affected his writing. During the 1920s he tried to reorder his life, but failed. By 1930, his wife had her first breakdown and went to a Swiss clinic. During this period he completed novels Tender Is the Night in 1934 and The Love of the Last Tycoon
