教学目标
At the end of this lesson, students are expected to:
(1) to learn the use of four new words: direction, warning, instruction, information and to learn to use modal verbs to express obligation
(2) To understand different kinds of signs and learn how to classify them
(3) To help the students realize the importance of signs
around us and to help students develop students’ ability of imagination through the task-based activities

导入
1. Enjoy a flash. Watch the flash and try to find out the problems. The teacher gather the problems and present them to the students to lead in the topic: signs
2. Brainstorm: Where can we find signs? List places where we can find signs.
呈现
1. Introduce 4 different kinds of signs and different ways to express the signs.
2.Play the recording and listen and repeat 4 different kinds of signs and what they mean.
3. Now listen to the tape, find out how many signs they see.
4. Listen again, then match the signs with the words on the right side
5. Show signs to Ss and let them complete the sentences: We can___. /We must__. /We must not ___. /There is ___. (It’s a/an _______ sign.)?Describe signs by using the patterns given.
6. Introduce more signs. Introduce more signs to Ss and encourage Ss to make conversations on the introduction of signs. (What/Where/Why)?Make conversations to introduce more signs. (Work in pairs.)

1. Group work: You will see three groups of signs. In each group, there is a sign which isn’t the same kind as the others. Pick it out and give your reasons.
