Company B is a Construction Inspection Company (建筑监理公 司)founded by the School of Civil Engineering of a famous University in China. It is located in the building of that School with two rooms and two staffs in office for daily communication and other jobs. Income of the company is about 15 million RMB in 2002 and it has been stagnant in recent years. The operational margin after taxes and the fees for the University, will be mainly distributed among the faculties and staff of the School as welfare and benefit. The salary of the engineer in this company is more or less the same as in other similar companies. Corporate Culture:Ideas shared by all of employees of a firm and their common way of behavior. Shared values are the implicit needs or wants of the group and determine which decisions and actions are deemed desirable. Norms implicitly determines the way of behavior of the people. Decision making pattern shapes information collection and communication, idea presentation, and evaluation. Artifacts: overt behavior, products, technology, and room layout.
