MethodsThe alcohol extraction of the skin of toad was separated by water-petroleum ether phases after eliminating alcohol. Then the water part was added to the column of DM130 macoroporous resin, and eluted gradually by alcohol. The total bufadienolides was identified to be in which part by HPLC and TLC, and the content was determined by UV, telocinobufagin as reference substance, at 299nm.ResultsThe total bufadienolides was gathered in 70% alcohol. The content of total bufadienolides was 53.90%, the extracting rate was 0.23%. ConclusionThe processing technology can be used to enrich total bufadienolides from the skin of toad.
