Abstract: Objective To understand the status of HIV infection among criminals detained in Haikou for reforming through la-bor. Methods Antibody to HIV was detected from venous blood of the criminals by ELISA. Results Totally2245persons were detected and ten positives were discovered with a positive rate of0.445%. Conclusion The detained criminals are high risk population of HIV infection.Thus not only intervention be carried out but the measure of preventing the spread of HIV infection from high risk population to gerneral population be slso taken.
