HPLC method recovery reached 96.87% or more (n = 15). Day RSD ≤ 6.22%, day RSD ≤ 3.69%. Conclusion This method is simple, fast, accurate, and can be used to determine the concentration of meropenem and pharmacokinetic studies. Methods A Waters Symmetry C18 column (4.6mm * 150mm, 5μ m) was used. The mobile phase was a mixture of acetonitrile and 0.05mol / L potassium dihydrogen phosphate (pH6.5, 8:92). The flow rate was 1.5 ml / min and the detection wavelength was at 300nm. Each sample size was 20μ l and the temperature was 22.5 ℃ . Results The linear calibration curve was obtained over the range 0.5 ~ 500.0μ g/ml of meropenem in rabbit bile (r = 0.9999). The limitation of determination was 0.5μ g/ml. The recovery of the assay was beyond 96.87% (n = 15). The intra-dry and inter-day RSDs did not exceed 6.22% and 3.69%, respectively. Conclusion The method was simple, convenient and precise for the determination of meropenem and its pharmacokinetics study in bile. KEY WORDS Meropenem; HPLC; Bile Mero
