PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 8 Human placenta and umbilical arterial and venous blood hematopoietic stem / progenitor cells homing-related adhesion molecule expression in Author: Rui Su, Dai-Xiong Chen, Ning, CHEN Qi, Gong Fang-ze 【Abstract】 In order to evaluate human placenta hematopoietic stem / progenitor cells (hematopoietic stem / progenitor cell, HSPC) homing capacity of mechanical preparation of human placenta single cell suspension using flow cytometry analysis of placental tissue and umbilical artery and venous blood nucleated cells, CD34 cells and their sub-group level, testing the three sources of CD34 cell-surface homing-related adhesion molecule CD44, CD11a, CD62L, CD49d, CD49e, and CD54 expression. The results showed that placental tissues CD34 cells and CD34 CD38-cell percentage was significantly higher than umbilical arterial and venous blood; umbilical cord blood in the artery and no significant difference in the percentage of HSPC. Source of CD34 cells in the placenta is highly expressed adhesion molecules CD11a, CD49d, CD44, CD49e, and CD54, including expression of CD49e, and CD54 levels were significantly higher than umbilical arterial and venous blood CD34 cells. The source of CD34 CD62L cells in the placenta percentage (64.58 ± 15.52)%, lower than the expression of cord blood sources. Conclusion: The human placenta is rich in HSPC. The source of the majority of placental cell adhesion molecule CD34 expression levels similar to or higher than umbilical cord blood, suggesting that the placenta HSPC homing ability may be stronger than umbilical cord blood. 【Key Words】 Placenta Expressions of Homing-Related Adhesion Molecules in Hemato-poietic Stem / Progenitor Cells Derived from Human Placenta, Umbilical Cord Arterial and Venous Blood Abstract The aim of this study was to evaluate the homing capabilities of hematopoietic stem / progenitor cells (HSPCs) derived from human placenta tissues (PT).
