In order to explore an effective post-traumatic aphasia treatment, our department right from August 2005 to August 2008 of the 28 cases of hospitalized patients with aphasia after traumatic brain injury with hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) combined treatment achieved a marked effect, the current report are as follows. 1 Data and methods 1.1 General Information Aphasia after traumatic brain injury cases in the selection criteria: ① has a clear history of traumatic brain injury, past history of non-organic brain disease; ② no significant hearing loss prior to the onset; ③ no contraindication for HBO therapy. The group of 28 cases for the treatment group, are in line with the above-mentioned selection criteria. 18 cases were male and 10 female cases; aged 8 to 65 years; course of 3 weeks to 2 months; CT or MRI showed lesions in the left frontal-temporal area in 26 cases, in the right frontal-temporal area in 2 cases.
