 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 7 Laparoscopic cholecystectomy in elderly patients with peri-operative treatment [Abstract] Objective To study the elderly patients with laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) of the coexistence of diseases, perioperative management. Methods A retrospective analysis in April 1998 ~ December 2003 between OK LC 70 patients over the age of clinical data of 154 cases. Results in 154 cases with more than one kinds of complications were 114 cases of complete LC 130 cases, 24 cases of transit. Postoperative complications occurred in 19 cases were cured and no deaths. Conclusion of gallbladder disease in elderly patients with emphasis on the coexistence of disease, preoperative treatment, intraoperative and postoperative monitoring based on the LC to better show its trauma and rapid recovery of the superiority of elderly patients is safe and reliable surgical method. Methods Retrospective analysis of 154 cases of more than 70 years old who underwent LC in our hospital from April 1998 to December 2003 was performed. Results Among the 154 patients, 114 patients had more than 1 concomitant disease.130 cases of LC were performed; in 24 cases intra-operative mediation to open surgery was decided.Postoperative complication of different kind was observed and all were controlled without any death case . Conclusion Preoperative evaluation of concomitant disease in elderly gallbladder disease, intra-operative and post operative monitoring has allowed LC to show up it advantage in micro injury and early improvement.LC is a save surgical procedure in elderly patients.
