Methods: The C18 column (4.6mm * 250mm, 5μ m), using methanol -0.1% phosphoric acid (85:15) as mobile phase, flow rate of 1.0ml * min-1, detection wavelength of 254nm. Results: The sample volume of emodin into the linear range of 0.105 ~ 1.375μ g showed good linear relationship, the correlation coefficient of 0.9999, the recovery rate of 99.01%, RSD of 1.1%. Conclusion: This method is reliable, simple and open-Yu Shuganwan new method for determination of emodin. Method: The chroma tographic column of Shimadu VP-ODS was used. The mobile phase consisted of methanol-0.1% phosphoric acid (85:15) and the flow rate was 1.0ml * min-1.The detertion wavelength was 254nm. Results: The linear of scutellarin was 0.105 ~ 1.375μ g (r = 0.9999). The average recovery of assay was 99.01% with RSD 1.1%. Conclsion: The HPLC method is simple and reliable for the Cinnamaldehyde in anti-tonsillitis matches.
