 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 7 S. paratyphi A isolates from Hangzhou pulsed-field gel electrophoresis typing [Abstract] Objective To study the parts of Hangzhou S. paratyphi strains isolated from outbreaks and sporadic relationship and molecular epidemiology of drug resistance strains. Methods from 2002 to 2005 in Hangzhou, L, and X District 5 county since outbreaks and 10 isolates from sporadic cases, using pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) typing methods for molecular typing using disk diffusion method (K - B method) measured two kinds of antibiotic sensitivity of isolates. Results isolated from two regions of 15 strains were divided into A, B, C, D 4-type, A, B, C and other three types in close relatives, belong to a clone system. L County in July 2005 and August 2 from the outbreak strain and 8-Yue three strains of PFGE type distribution are B-type, X zone in December 2004 and September 2005 for two months since the outbreak strain and 9,10 of the six strains of PFGE type distribution belong to the same C-type. Four other strains of type compound sulfamethoxazole and rifampicin resistance to an average of 100% of cefazolin, ceftriaxone, streptomycin, gentamicin, amikacin, chloramphenicol, norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin, furazolidone were sensitive to ampicillin, doxycycline and tetracycline resistance to different levels. Conclusion In addition to a strain distribution, the 2002 to 2005 was isolated from Hangzhou, L County and X zones paratyphoid pathogens belong to the same clone line. Sporadic cases may belong to the distribution after the outbreak of epidemic.
