Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi flavonoids extraction technology and its antimicrobial activity
[Abstract] Objective To study the skullcap of the flavonoids extraction method and antimicrobial activity. Method of orthogonal experiment using ultrasonic technology, skullcap extract of flavonoids, cylinder plate method for their antimicrobial activity studies. The results of ultrasonic extraction of optimum conditions for power of 235 W, 60% ethanol, solid-liquid ratio of 1:20, extraction time of 9 min, flavonoids extraction rate of 10.35%. The extract of Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, E. coli, Aspergillus niger, Penicillium have a significant antibacterial effect, the minimum inhibitory concentration, respectively: 1.0,2.0,1.0,0.5,1.0 mg * ml-1; minimum bactericidal concentration: 1.0,2.0,2.0,2.0,1.0 mg * ml-1. Conclusion Ultrasound technology is an efficient extraction method of Scutellaria flavonoids, baicalin has a strong antibacterial activity.
[Keywords:] Ultrasonic Extraction of antibacterial activity of Scutellaria flavones
Skullcap Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi is commonly used traditional Chinese medicine is one of the Labiatae Scutellaria plants dry root [1]. Of its active ingredients are mainly flavonoids. It is reported that Scutellaria flavonoids are a class of bioactive natural products stronger, with anti-bacterial, anti-virus, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidation, anti-cancer, lowering blood pressure and other effects [2,3]. Ultrasound has accelerated dissolution of the active ingredient in medicines and shorten the extraction time and improve the extraction rate of the active ingredients etc. [4], Therefore, this article explore the ultrasonic extraction by orthogonal skullcap flavonoids optimal extraction conditions for large-scale and efficient production of Scutellaria flavones has provided a strong theoretical basis. Scutellaria flavonoids in vitro antibacterial study less, this study will be the best under
