On basic education English language courses in five basic relationships
Abstract: In implementing the new curriculum standards, regardless of what kind of curriculum theory, what teaching strategies, teaching methods and techniques which should deal with the English language courses within the five pairs of basic relationship: tools and humanities, language and speech, structure and meaning, intuition and consciousness, Teaching and learning method. At the same time the balance of these relations can not ignore the two premises: China’s basic education essential connotation of English language teaching and English teaching basic national conditions.

Abstract: When implementing the new curriculum standards, whatever theories, teaching strategies, teaching methods and techniques we apply, we should rationally handle the five fundamental pairs of issues in English curriculum: instrument or humanity, language or parole, structure or content, instinct or consciousness, instructing or learning. The balance of them should be based on the essence of basic education and the national conditions of English teaching in China.
