During the congregation process of the financial industry, the regional center city will produce the radiation force to the surrounding hinter lands. This paper makes an empirical study on the financial industry congre- gation of nine cities in the Pearl River Delta region by using the newest data from 2007 to 2011. With the ap- plication of the Wilson model, it also makes a calculation on the financial radiation force of the center cities in the Pearl River Delta region, which figures out their radiation radiuses. Furthermore, it inspects the radia- tion force of financial industry congregation in the Pearl River Delta region from a quantitative perspective, so as to put forward some decision-making references for complementing each other’s financial resources advantages and optimizing the network of the region.
