By analyzing from different aspects including the practical operation of the container demurrage ,the legal relation between the parties ,the basis of the claim right ,the practice of maritime judiciary and etc. ,it is deemed that in recent years it has gradually become an established practice in inteπlational container transportation field that the carrier would charge the container demurrage from those who use the containers beyond the permitted period.
