Aninterestingoneistousethismethodtoperformcell-levelfuelassemblycalculationsinordertoobtainfewgroupconstantstobe usedoncorecalculations.InthepresentworktheVTTrecentlydevelopedSerpentv.1.1.7cell-orientedneutroniccalculationcode isusedtoperformcellcalculationsofatheoreticalBWRlatticebenchmarkwithburnablepoisons,andthemainresultsarecom- paredtoreportedonesandwithcalculationsperformedwithCondorv.2.61,theINVAP’sneutroniccollisionprobabilitycellcode. 1.Introduction In the present work a well-known BWR lattice bench- mark calculation[2]isperformed using Serpent codeand nucleardatafromENDF/B-VI.8.Themainresultsarecom- paredwithreportedvaluesandwithcalculationsperformed withtheINVAP’scollisionprobabilitycodeCondor[3]using nucleardatafromWIMSlibrary(69groups)[4]andWLUP library(172groups)[5].
