Objective.Anorexianervosaisdi?culttodiagnoseincancerpatientssinceweightloss,aversionforfood,andeatingdisturbances arefrequentinpatientsundergoingchemotherapyandradiotherapy.Nevertheless,e?ortsaremandatorytorecognizeandmanage thisconditionwhichmayoccuralsoincancerpatientswithaspecialregardtoadolescents.Methods.Throughtheclinicalhistory ofAnna,a15-year-oldadolescentwithadvancedcancer,wedescribethee?ectivenessofafamily-basedsystemicintervention to manage anorexia nervosa occurring in concomitance to osteosarcoma. Results. Through a two-year psychotherapy period involvingdi?erenttechniquesappliedtothewholefamilysuchasfamilygenogram,familycollage,andsculptureoffamilytime, Annawasrelievedfromhercondition.Conclusions.Uponearlydiagnosisandappropriatetreatment,anorexianervosacanbe e?ectivelyapproachedinadolescentcancerpatients.Thepresenceofalife-threateningmedicalconditionsuchascancermay providemotivationforapatienttocontroldisorderedeatingbehaviorinthecontextofanappropriatefamily-basedsystemic intervention.Thegeneralframeofanorexiaoccurringincancer-bearinga
