Antiobesity pharmacotherapy and programs/providers that possess weight management expertise are not commonly used by physicians.Theunderlyingreasonsforthisarenotknown.Weperformedacross-sectionalstudyin33Canadianmedicalpractices (36physicians)examining1788overweight/obeseadultpatients.Thefrequencyofpharmacotherapyuseandreferralforfurther diet,exercise,behavioralmanagementand/orbariatric surgery wasdocumented.Ifdrugtreatmentorreferralwasnotmade, reasonsweredocumentedbychoosingamongstpreselectedcategories.Logisticregressionmodelswereusedtoidentifypredictors ofantiobesitydruguse.Nosingleantiobesitymanagementstrategywasrecommendedbyphysiciansinmorethan50%ofpatients. Referralwasmostcommonforexercise(49%ofcases)followedbydietaryadvice(46%),andonly5%ofeligiblepatientswere referredforbariatricsurgery.Signi?cantpredictorsofi
