Course Syllabus established using the concept of the planning system
[Abstract] introduced the theory of traditional Western education teaching plan (syllabus) concept. With examples based on the existing course syllabus, course schedule and course teaching plan features were compared, pointing out that the former two can not replace the latter. The curriculum content and form of teaching plans are described, the proposed concept of using the traditional syllabus, establish and improve China’s university teaching plan system.

1, SyIlabus concept
Syllabus (plural syllabi) is derived from Latin, a pedagogical concept. The term is difficult to use any ready-made Chinese words to translate. In the education field, its meaning is equivalent to a course syllabus, teaching programs and specific integrated lesson plans, together with references to or suggestions of the course reading list directory. As part of the process of its traditional teaching, all universities in the Western developed countries, each course is before the commencement of the course syllabus distributed to students so that students understand the purpose of the course, tasks, materials, or the main learning materials, specific course requirements, scheduling, examine the methods, scoring criteria, knowing who the medium of instruction, and how to contact with their teachers. This is easy to be taught the students choice, previews and review, but also conducive to student-teacher interaction. End of the semester, the students and teachers one by one teaching in the plan against the terms of an objective and impartial manner to teach evaluation assessment study. Many universities at home and abroad on the official Internet site, or from university professors personal website, can be found on their courses of Syllabi.
