UsingtheCHEKITQ-FeverAntibodyELISATestKit(IDEXX),thestudydemonstratedaprevalenceof59%antibody positiveherds,11%antibodyintermediateherdsand30%antibodynegativeherdsbasedontheinstructionspro- videdbythemanufacturer.Thegeographicaldistributiondoesnotindicatearelationshipbetweentheregional densityofdairyfarmsandtheprevalenceofantibodypositivedairyfarms.Theresultsupportsthehypothesisofan increaseintheprevalenceofpositivedairyherdscomparedtopreviousyears.
