Methodology/PrincipalFindings:Weconductedaprospective,multi-centredEuropeanstudy,analysing93Staphylococcus aureuspositiveswabstakenfromthemiddlemeatusofpatientssufferingfromchronicrhinosinusitis,withorwithoutnasal polyposis,andcontrols.Strainsweresystematicallytestedforthepresenceofthe22currentlyknownexotoxingenesand genotyped according to their agr groups.
