Methods:Aninteractivecomputergamebasedonvirtualrealitywasdevelopedto evaluatetheperformanceoftheplayers. Thegame’sstorylinewasbasedonthestoryofanoldpiratewhorunsacrossislands anddangerousseasinsearchofalosttreasure.Withinthegame,theplayermust findandinterpretthehintsscatteredindifferentscenarios.Twoversionsofthis gamewereimplemented.Inthefirst,hintsandinformationboardswerepainted usingredandgreencolours.Inthesecondversion,theseobjectswerepaintedusing blueandyellowcolours.Formodelling,texturing,andanimatingvirtualcharacters andobjectsthethree-dimensionalcomputergraphicstoolBlender3Dwasused.The textureswerecreatedwiththeGIMPeditortoprovidevisualeffectsincreasingthe realismandimmersionoftheplayers.Thegamesweretestedon20non-ADHD volunteerswhoweredividedintotwosubgroups(A1andA2)and20volunteers withADHDwhoweredividedintosubgroupsB1andB2.SubgroupsA1andB1used thefirstversionofthegamewiththehintspaintedingreen-redcolors,and subgroupsA2andB2thesecondversionusingthesamehintsnowpaintedinblue- yellow.Thetimespenttocompleteeachtaskofthegamewasmeasured.
