The City Planning Bureau of Zibo, Zibo 255000, China) : Rural Eco-Environment, 2003, 19( 3) : 14- 18 Abstract: By making referen e to the latest a omplishments in the study of omprehensive evaluation of regional sus- tainable development at home and abroad, a ording to AHP, an index system and a measuring model for omprehensive evaluation of sustainable development of e ologi al demonstration zones has been designed, pro eeding from the follow ing six aspe ts: e onomi development, so ial development, resour es and e ologi al se urit y, sustainable development apa ity, sustainable development degree and system oordination. The results of a quantitative evaluat ion of the development of Baota Distri t of Yanc an in the period from 1992 to 1999 show that the sustainable development of Baota Distri t is, though in reasing steadily in level, still in the stage of weak sustainable development, and t he regional development system is not well oordinated.
