China) Abstract: With the guidance of Scientific Outlook on Development and based on the sports subject development , practice of building up the column of Sports Humaníties and Sociology of }ournal 0/ Wuhan lnstitute 0/P.E. was sum- marized. Background of building up the column , purpose , history , aim and measures , social impact of the column were given emphasis on elaboration. The success of this column s selection into Famous Column Project orga- nized by Ministry of Education lies in accurate mastering sports development , establishing proper purpose and con- slruclion idea , eslablishing an editing leam with excellent professional quality and vocational morals , relying on the subject and talent advanlages and support of Wuhan Institute of P.E. , insisling on opened-up publishing joumal in- stead of discarding sectarian bias.
