The flame retardant EPS board after coated was measured by compression test ，bending test ，dimensional stability at high or low temperature ，and water absorption test. The results show that the boards can pass the standard of thermal insulation material of China. At the same time ，the LOI of the flame retardant EPS board is 34.7% ，the vertical burning test indicating is UL 94 V–0 ，and the horizontal burning test is HF
