On the Debates between Zhu Guangqian and Cao Yu, Ba Jin

Abstract: Zhu Guangqian returned to China in 1933, and a few years later, he held a stable position in Beiping culture group, in
which he actively involved himself in thedisputes of the literary circles. Zhu Guangqian, with pure aestheticconsciousness, sometimes
he looked down on writers, criticized and satirized them to thedissatisfaction of the critics, and touched off somedebates. Regarding
hs argumentswith Cao Yu and Ba Jin, few scholars have paid attention. Thethesis describeswhat happened in details, explains their
positions and the ideological root-causes, then remarks upon the debates.
