Abstract With the continuous development of drilling technology, it presents higher requirements for well pipe string sketch map. However, because the domestic software of graphic display of oil well pipe string is relatively lacked at present, schematic maps of pipe string assemble and well construction which are required by down hole detail design and concluding report only depend on handwork drawing by technical staff, contractor employees and administrators, which increase labor capacity of engineering staff. Therefore, in the process of pipe string design and construction, the engineers hope to quickly draw pipe string structure diagram to guide the construction sites. In this thesis, on the basis of intensively research on oil well pipe strings and its related technology, the graphic display of oil well pipe strings is studied via computer technology. And the development of oil well pipe strings combination two-dimensional figure visualization software, the establishment of oil well pipe strings three-dimensional model, and the animation of oil well pipe strings combination are primarily discussed. The main work of this thesis contains the following aspects: (1)The compiler of the software of oil well pipe strings figure visualization. The software is compiled by Visual Basic 2008, and can freely combine of two-dimensional figure of oil well pipe strings and display relevant parameter.
