Methods The maximum dose of Rannasangpei Pills suspension liquid 10 g/kg was supplied to the rats by gavage for one-time within 24 h， the toxic effects （death， poisoning symptoms） and its severity within 14 days， the recovery， delayed reaction and other indexes were observed. Results There was no abnormal animal death， poisoning symptoms and abnormal organs visible to the naked eye viscera， and body weight and feed consumption had no obvious changes， but some blood indexes （red blood cells， white blood cells） and blood biochemical indexes （urea nitrogen， glucose， total protein and albumin） had abnormalities. Conclusion The maximum dose of Rannasangpei Pills supplied to the rats through mouth is 10 g/kg， which is 600 times of daily doses of adults， the security is good， but in clinical application， it is necessary to monitor the blood routine and blood biochemistry indexes.
