未曾实现愿望或打算之表达一、常用表示愿望的动词think，hope，wish，want，expect，mean，intend等按如下句式进行表达：
A. 这类动词的过去完成时+不定式一般时（或从句）。例如：
1. I had intended to come over to see you last night，but someone called and I couldnt get away.（有人来访脱不开身）
2. We had hoped that our team would win the game，but the other team played very well.（对方队打得太好了）
B. 上述动词的过去时+不定式完成时。例如：
1. I meant to have given you the book this morning，but I forgot to bring it here.（本想给却忘记带）
2. We planned to have stayed there for the night，but we didnt.（本想在那里过夜却没有）
C. 上述动词的过去时+不定式一般时。例如：
1. At first they thought to tell her，then they changed their minds.（原想告诉后来却改变主意）
2. The building was intended to be a museum.（本打算作博物馆用的）
二、was/were+不定式完成时或一般时。例如：
1. The dinner was to have taken place last night.（本拟昨晚举行）
2. We were to have returned today，but were asked to stay for another week.（本该回来却被留再住一周）
3. I was to meet them on Monday，but John said no.（不同意）
三、was/were going to+不定式一般时。例如：
1. I was going to finish my article last night，but I didnt have time.（本打算写完但没有时间）
2. He was going to take her to a lecture that night，but he had a headache.（本打算带她去听报告但他头痛）
四、should/would like+不定式完成时或should/would have liked+不定式一般时。例如：
1. Id like to have taken you round the factory，but I had to go to a meeting.（本想带你在厂里看看但我得去开会）
2. He would have liked to go to the get-together，but his wife was ill.（本想去参加联欢会但妻子病了）
