ABSTRACT Community education began in the mid-19th century Europe, after 100 years of development, especially in the developed countries, the development of, and accumulated valuable experience. Practice has proved that existence of community education has important significance for improving peoples cultural quality and professional skills, almost every country in the formulation and implementation of the system of community education, became the important complement of the traditional school education. Compared with the United States, Japan and other western developed countries, our countrys community education started late, still in the early stages of development, this paper, Siming District, Xiamen City, the community education development present situation to launch the research as an example, on the review and analysis of community education of basic concepts and basic course of development, of Xiamen city community education development present situation and the existing problems are analyzed, at the same time the author puts forward the corresponding solutions. In the whole analysis process have, Siming District, Xiamen City, community education as an example, through case analysis and literature analysis method, forming a final conclusion of the study, the results obtained for the scientific comprehensive understanding the current situation of the development of community education in our country and the problems of a certain reference function, at the same time, the author puts forward the promotion strategy also
