The results were as follows: Their initial cells, which originated from the protodermal cells, created a basal cell , a stalk cell and apical cell through two successive periclinal divisions. The origination and early development of two types of glandular hairs were similar. During the late development, unicell-headed long stalk glandular hairs, multicell-headed long stalk glandular hairs and multicell-headed short stalk glandular hairs were respectively formed, which were due to the different division forms of stalk cell and secretory cell.
