It is a speaking class. It is a preparation for the vocabulary class: words about food and drinks. It is also a beginning for asking about suggestion. In addition, this lesson completes the transition of the words “a hot dog, a pie” to the sentence pattern “What about…” in a proper situation. It helps students to master them efficiently. Teaching Aims Aims 1: is the goal of language knowledge The Ss can hear, read and use the words a hot dog, a sandwich , a pie , some bread and the main sentence patterns “I’m hungry” “What would you like?” “What about…” The Ss can understand and read the conversation of the lesson. Aim 2:is the ability goal. The Ss can read and understand the sentence pattern and further develop their ability of daily communication. The Ss can use the patterns to express their thoughts in the proper scene. Aim 3: is the emotion goal By completing the task, the Ss increase their interest and set up self-confidence in language study To develop Ss’ initiative and cooperative spirit by team work Study Situation Analysis I think the key point of this period is to remember the new words and sentence patterns. Meanwhile, the most difficult point of this period is to make sure that Ss can use the words and sentence patterns in the proper scene, and make simple dialogue of shopping. Well, how to achieve the teaching objectives better, to stress the key points and break through the difficult points?
